Why We Believe in Fewer, Better Ingredients

Why We Believe in Fewer, Better Ingredients
Walk down any skincare aisle and you'll find bottles with ingredient lists twenty lines long — half of them unpronounceable, most of them unnecessary. At Bloome, we think that's backwards.
The Problem With "More"
Skincare brands have trained us to believe that more ingredients means more results. A serum with 15 "active" ingredients feels more powerful than one with 5. But your skin doesn't work that way. Overloading a formula often does the opposite of what's intended — irritating the skin barrier, triggering breakouts, or simply diluting the ingredients that actually matter.
Your skin barrier can only absorb and use so much at once. The rest just sits there — or worse, causes irritation.
What "Fewer, Better" Actually Means
When we formulate a Bloome product, every single ingredient has to earn its place. We ask three questions:
Does it have real, evidence-backed benefits for skin?
Is it gentle enough for daily, long-term use?
Does it work well alongside the other ingredients in the formula?
If an ingredient doesn't pass all three, it doesn't make the cut — no matter how trendy it is.
This is why you'll find ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and centella asiatica in our formulas again and again. They're not flashy. They're proven.
The Result: Skin That Actually Improves
Simpler formulas mean your skin can actually absorb and benefit from what you're putting on it. Less irritation. Less guesswork. Fewer products taking up space on your shelf — and in your routine.
We're not trying to sell you ten steps. We're trying to give you the two or three that actually work.
That's the whole philosophy behind Bloome: less, but better.
